Robot-soccer is the fascinating combination of the world's number one team-sport and innovative technology. Autonomously working robots battle for victory or defeat.

This problem definition allows to compare the results from different scientific disciplines directly. The international joint project "RoboCup" supports scientific research in artificial intelligence and autonomous mobile robots. Therefore international competitions are organized, to enable all scientists to compare and test their solutions directly and to improve them together.

Our project group consists of scientists, scientific assistants and students of computer science.

The league we are competing in is called the "Sony Four-Legged League". In this league all teams use the same robots, namely the dog-like AIBOs from Sony.

We are concerned with the development of new, fast walk patterns, programming the behaviour of the robots, researching new methods for image recognition and integrating communication techniques for global sensor fusion.
